While designing the film installation I had 3 primary concerns.

Integrating the film installation into the pavilion interior.
What started out as a documentary on a plasma screen became a film installation about Chicago that seamlessly transformed the pavilion interior into an art environment and experience.

Engaging the audience.
Create the film in 3 distinct sections: past, present and future, making them stylistically all very different. Because the film installation continually evolves, this keeps the audience engaged.

Creating a concept that was relevent for today‘s Chicago.
Living in an international city with such an illustrious and industrial past. How do you motivate people today, and get them to think about improving the future of their great city.
