Tree Cathedral Lumiere is an outdoor site-specific light, sound and performance installation currently in development.

Originally created in 1986 by landscape architect Neil Higson, the Tree Cathedral exactly replicates the footprint of Norwich Cathedral, incorporating different species of trees to represent different sections of the Cathedral. After 30 years the trees are now mature and it's a place of quiet beauty - the perfect outdoor location for animation and transformation using light, sound, projection and live performance.

Tree Cathedral Lumiere is an integrated series of light and sound installations located throughout the site, each inspired by its specific location. Attractions in the Sanctuary, Chapel, Cloister, Nave and Chapter Mound, multidirectional soundscapes throughout and haunting performances from professionally-led community groups will make this an immersive and magical event not to be missed.

Tree Cathedral Lumiere takes an area of natural beauty and transforms it using light art, projection, sound and performance to create a non-secular, spiritual experience that brings the environment alive around the audience in exciting and unexpected ways.
